Mega floor doodles is another KISS (Keep It Short & Simple) play activity. It’s so simple I feel silly describing it because the name says it all; it’s mega doodling done on the floor. Not technically ON the floor; you place large slabs of paper or cardboard on the floor. You could also doodle on the wall, but then I think that’s technically a mega wall doodle, and that’s another blog post altogether.. (tee hee hee). Ah, semantics. Don’t you just love it?

My boys are not really art and craft type of children. They need a to be enticed over to an art and craft activity. Enticed them I did; I drew a Batman Castle and Metropolis.

Soon, drawings were happening all over the floor.

I asked them to tell me about their drawings:

Here’s Robin’s Lair;

and Hulk’s house, (the Silver Surfer was dropping in for a visit).

They created a pretty cool small world play scene.

It’s a privilege to witness young imaginations hard at work;

yet it is not their imaginations that I consider of first importance.

Proverbs 14:26

“In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence,

and his children will have a refuge.”
