We love Who Sank the Boat and A Lion In the Night too. What age is Big Truths for Little people for? I haven’t seen/read the Read-Aloud Handbook yet. Sounds like a great resource. Thanks for the tips Jo! xoxo Pauline

Hi Pauline,

Our favourite books include:
- Where is the Green Sheep?
- Ten Little Fingers, Ten Little Toes (really, almost anything by Mem Fox is a hit)
- Anything written by Dr Seus
- Who Sank the Boat?
- Edward the Emu
- Where the Wild Things Are
- A Lion In the Night

Love the Big Picture Story Bible. Have also started reading Big Truths for Little People.

Have you ever seen/read The Read-Aloud Handbook? (http://www.trelease-on-reading.com/) Its a fantastic book not only filled with lists of books to read aloud for varying ages & stages, but also exceptionally informative on the value of reading aloud to your children - most of the stats are US oriented, but still applicable. Highly recommend it as parent resource.
