Sometimes I join in if it is an activity I enjoy like painting, or dancing, or if I have an urge to build a castle…. and sometimes they join in if I am doing something they particularly enjoy, like washing the dishes or cooking dinner…. but I don’t feel obliged to play with my kids all the time, and I think that works well for all of us. :)

I have tried to put my camera down more often too and just get in and get messy with the kids. So much more fun.
