Pinterest Boards Reorganised

 
I love Pinterest. Pinterest is my virtual cupboard where I can virtually hoard .

 
But like any cupboard, it eventually gets to a point where it’s so choc-a-bloc full of goodies that I can’t find any particular goodie I’m after.

 
My main problem with Pinterest is that it arranges boards in rows rather than columns. Maybe it’s my years of using spreadsheets to organise everything and anything; but I use columns when organising. I organise in a vertical manner. When I write lists, I write down a column worth of items rather than a row of items.

 
Looking at the mess that is my Pinterest dashboard with all my Pinterest boards organised with no logic as to their placement, I just can’t help but want to reorganise my Pinterest boards in a vertical manner. This will be tricky given that Pinterest requires me to fill in an array in a horizontal manner, but I am giving it a go.

 
I am going to reorganise my Pinterest Boards vetically. When you visit Lessons Learnt Journal on Pinterest  you’ll see in the top row the following labels. Though they are technically Pinterest boards, I won’t pin anything to these label boards. I will be using these boards purely as labels.

 
So, all my work Pinterest boards will be placed in the first column under my work Pinterest board label. All my play Pinterest boards will be placed under my play Pinterest board label, etc.

 
You may have to adjust the size of your internet browser so there are only five columns. Once this is done, all the boards line up beautifully.

 
A simple explanation for each of my labels:

 
Work: All things relating to working with children.

 
Rest: All things relating to resting. This includes special events, holidays, meals and things that refresh our lives from the everyday.

 
Play: All manner of fun and creative play with children.

 
Mish-Mash: Boards that contain a mixture of work, rest and play.

 
Chat: Where people come together for a conversation.
