Having a group of women you can go to first – to know they will be there for you, and who you can be there for, is priceless Stephanie! They must have been just as excited to see you return to them

I couldn’t agree with you more Penny about Mums. My mum held me up when I was shell-shocked with the arrival of twins. She was there to help with meals, cleaning, early morning feeds and laundry (in winter!). She was my Mum as I was finding my feet as a Mum. I am so thankful for my Mum too.

So true! I can barely remember my pre-kids self and I think I’ve changed heaps since then (and I’m not just talking the muffin top and saggy bits). Kids do make us stop and reflect more (when we’re not chasing after them) ;P

I think my very first group of moms from my eldest which grew and grew from 5 moms and kiddos and is now 5 moms and 9 kids has had the greatest impact on me as a mom and a woman. They are the ones I go to first. And even though life has made it harder to coordinate time together we all take comfort in the simple thought that the others are there. They were the ones that it was hardest to leave when going overseas and the ones I was most excited to see when I returned. Congrats Pauline on Fisher Price!!! Wonderful news.
