		<description><![CDATA[This is a great post! I agree with teaching lowercase letters first; this is commonly done in education. However, as far as writing letters go, it is common and sometimes easier, especially with children who have any kind of difficulty with fine motor skills, to teach the printing of similar letters together, from most to least difficult. For example, the letters l (lowercase L), i and t would be taught first because horizontal and vertical lines are easiest. Many educators also don&#039;t teach letters (recognizing letters and sounds) one at a time and separately anymore; instead of a &quot;letter of the day&quot; for example, they&#039;re often taught a few at a time.
